PROPERTY DETAILS:
This six bedroom, three bath, three-story
chalet is the perfect getaway for both winter and summer. Located in
Tahoe City, one-quarter mile from the backside of Alpine Meadows Ski
Area, at the Sherwood high speed quad Lift, you can walk there and ski
home. No crowds, no lift lines, no hassles. There is also a private
parking lot you have access to right at the lift.
When the snow melts, the surroundings become a playground to hike, bike,
and fish. Tennis lovers can enjoy the homeowner tennis courts, golf
lovers can enjoy the multitude of golf courses within a ten mile radius,
beaches and picnic areas are within biking distance to the house. The
activities in the Tahoe Basin are endless. Located on the West Shore of
Lake Tahoe, you are three miles from the Lake and restaurants, 4 miles
to downtown Tahoe City with night life and SHOPPING!! and close to
Chambers Landing and Meeks Bay with great beaches and amenities.
The house is chalet-style has an open floor plan that can accommodate up
to 15, and is surrounded by forest land. The 22 foot cathedral ceilings,
and floor to ceiling windows, offer a great house to enjoy the
spectacular views from.
The downstairs has three
bedrooms. One room has a queen and twin bed. The other two rooms have
queen beds, each with a sliding glass door that exits out to a deck.
Here you can enjoy a hot tub with views . In the wintertime, you can
watch skiers short cut home from Alpine Meadows through the front yard,
and in the summertime you can watch squirrels climb the trees.
Surrounded by forestry land, and mountain views, you will want to spend
ample time here. After the hot tub, head to the sauna. The sauna has
plenty of room to lay down in, and is great for a long day of skiing.
Next to the sauna is a changing area and with a "Finnish" touch. Cool
off in the shower room with four shower heads and glass atrium that
looks out into the forest. The changing area is also connected to a full
bathroom.
The bedrooms are carpeted and the hallway
has Mexican tile flooring that continues up the stairs. The second level has
22 foot cathedral ceilings with floor to ceiling windows to maximize the
exceptional view of Twin Peaks. Two sliding glass doors exit out to a sunny
wrap around deck with a barbecue, and patio furniture depending on the
season. The kitchen overlooks the living and dining area.
The living area has couches
that face a large stone fireplace, and entertainment center with TV, DVD and
stereo. The dining area has a large table with benches, pillows, and chairs.
The kitchen is separated by a granite countertop, and is equipped with all
the necessities for cooking and entertaining. From all areas in the main
area, you can watch TV, enjoy the fireplace and views, or socialize with the
rest of your group.
Off the living area is another full bath attached to a bedroom with queen
bed. Next to that room is the Master Bedroom. There is a King-size sleigh
bed with half bath off a changing area and walk in closet. Indirect lighting
and views of the forest make this room a bonus. Up the stairs from the
living area, is an enclosed loft with pool table, and two twin beds. Play
pool during the day, and use the room for sleeping at night.
The house comes with all the amenities of home. All the bedding and linens
are "Hotel Style" with 300 count sheets, duvet, bed cover with extra pillows
and bed scarf. There is wireless Internet, 3 TV's on satellite,
washer/dryer, DVD players as well as all linens and towels. All you will
need to bring is a good book to read, or a few friends or family to have fun
with.
The decorations and details have been carefully chosen in hopes you find
this house a special vacation getaway, and add to a great experience in Lake
Tahoe.

This was the best home yet for our annual
spring skiing trip with the guys. Awesome chalet style house, views, and
we all were really comfortable here. We cooked our meals here and found
everything we needed. LOTS of snow and we couldn't get enough skiing in.

My family and friends stayed here for 1 week
in March. We walking into the "the Great room" and was amazed at the
views from the deck and the whole room!. The bedrooms were
comfortable, the kitchen stocked with all the kitchen gadgets we
needed, and the sauna and hot tub were a real plus. We skiing all
day and it was bliss to chill in the tub. The skiing was fantastic.
There is a homeowners parking lot that we had a pass for when we
didn't want to walk to the lifts. We could just park the car and
walk right across the street to get on the lift. There is also a
warming hut with bbq and beer at lunch, but some of our non skiers
enjoyed having coffee there in the morning and just watching the
skiers.
It is located in Tahoe City, on the back side of Alpine Meadows, so
it was a lot closer to the lake and downtown Tahoe City. The house
was super quiet with all the house in this area divided by forest
land. We really felt like we were in Lake Tahoe with all the pines,
yet close to stores and restaurants.
We plan on coming back this summer to enjoy the Lake. It is 3 miles
from the Lake on the West Shore, and close to Chambers Landing which
is our favorite beach. It is also close to the bike paths so we're
bringing our bikes.
Great home, can't wait to come back to this.

I can't tell you how much we enjoyed your home. The location, the
amenities, and the decor was perfect for us. We wanted a place to celebrate
my dad's birthday and just hang out. We really enjoyed the deck and the
beautiful views from the deck and great room. There was plenty of room to
spread out but still be as family. It was nice being so close to the Lake,
yet in such a quiet neighborhood that really felt like Tahoe. We also
enjoyed the hiking and biking trails in the neighborhood.
We used the homeowners tennis courts once, and we all realized we were too
bad to attempt it again.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to use your home. We will look forward
to coming back here. Pat and Galeno Riley Recommended for: Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists

We stay in vacation
rental homes in Tahoe a few times per year in all seasons. This place stands
out as a great value and a very comfortable home for big families! The house
is much nicer and more comfortable than the photos and description.
Everything was clean and in great shape. We really enjoyed the big deck and
access to the national forest in the back yard. The open floor plan with a
sauna and Jacuzzi makes it feel really comfortable. Our kids and grandkids
don't visit that often, so we usually don't need a house this big, but we
will be sure to reserve this place again when we do. We loved being so close
to the ski lift and live entertainment at the casinos just up the way in
