(San Francisco) Several members of my family gathered at this
beautiful home in Lake Tahoe for a short family vacation. There were 12
of us altogether yet it never felt crowded. The living area is unusually
large with a terrific kitchen and living room. Lots of space for eating,
playing games, lounging in front of the fireplace. Can't recommend it
highly enough. Guest: Zach
(Bakersfield) We wanted to have a family gathering for
Thanksgiving and found a perfect place for us and our four kids. We were
15 in all so among other things were delighted to not try to eat in
restaurants but when we did eat out we found great restaurtants right on
the Lake. We had a little snow so we all went to Northstar for some fun
in the snow which was just a few minutes away. There were some
incredible hiking trails right down the street and the views of Lake
Tahoe were unforgettable! This large vacation rental had all the
ammenties of home. The pool table and jacuzzi were of course a big hit
with the young ones! Fun to gather in all the entertainment areas of
this wonderful home. We would recommend this home to everyone. Glad we
found you Sandy on the Internet and thank you so much for your
recommendation of this home for our family gathering! You really went
out of your way to see that all our needs were met and then some! We
will be back and maybe this time for the fourth of July! Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families
with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway,
pet-friendly, sight seeing, romantic getaway Guest: Sunny (Sunnyvale) Thank you Sandy for use of your beautiful property. We stayed with our
extended family and had a wonderful time! Your property was absolutely
gorgeous and we loved the vistas as well as all the amenities you provided!
I This vacation home was incredible during the winter with the snow falling
while lying in the hot tub with our love ones! - perhaps we will come in
summer next year as it has one of the best locations on the north shore of
Lake Tahoe! Our kids loved the beds and my wife loved the individual
bedrooms with private bathroom! Thanks again for letting us live the dream
and making more wonderful family memories! See you next time...perhaps
summer of 2011! Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with
young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight
seeing, romantic getaway

(Oakland, CA, USA) This house was the perfect get-away spot for our
group of friends who wanted to go to the snow for the weekend. Three of us
had small children, who loved having the little TV upstairs to watch Disney
instead of "boring" football that was playing on the downstairs screen. It
was an easy drive to the various ski slopes and local grocery store
(Safeway). Also for those of us who liked going on walks and doing a little
local sledding, there was a great little hill down the road. The house was
very comfortable and functional with nice big windows that looked out onto
the beautiful snow-covered surroundings. The owner, Sandy, was very
reasonable and accommodating and a pleasure to work with. If your kids are
not yet adept at stairs--you might bring a baby gate. We did and it worked
out well. Otherwise the house is very kid friendly. Recommended for: families with young children, families with
teenagers

(Danville, CA) Our family has had their annual reunion in this
house for the past two years and will go again this year. The house is a
beautiful well maintained clean home that has something for everyone. We
love the spacious deck where we spend most of our late afternoons in the
summer. The extra large kitchen and living room provide ample space for the
whole family to enjoy games in the evening and to seat everyone at the large
kitchen table for meals. Everything is provided including a fully stocked
kitchen and linen closet. The hot tub, which is everyone's favorite, is
cleaned and the chemicals are balanced before each tenant arrives. The house
is about a 10 minute drive to Kings Beach where every imaginable activity is
available. Our favorite restaurants is Lanza's in Kings Beach where the food
is "Molto Buono". The city beach at Kings Beach offer a beautiful beach park
with everything from Para sailing to Wave Runner rentals. Our children and
grandchildren enjoy the nearby hiking trails I would highly recommend this
house to any family who wishes to have a beautiful Tahoe experience. We live
in the San Francisco Bay area and recommended this house to our neighbors
and they now go every year with their families. Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children,
families with teenagers

(havasu city az) My family of 4 along with 2 other families took a
quick get-away to enjoy the snow in Lake Tahoe. When we arrived at the
house, we were delighted to find the kitchen fully equipped, the beds and
bedrooms large and comfortable, and the nice open floor plan gave us a great
living area to play pool and enjoy ourselves. We were pleased to find the
house better than the pictures on the web site. Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with
young children, families with teenagers, pet-friendly, romantic getaway
Guest: S61A66 (houston,
texas) Our family met at this house for our annual
gathering (7 adults) for Christmas week and it was perfect in every way -
great location, beautiful views, comfortable roomy house and an owner who
was easy to work with. The house was clean; nicely decorated; enough open
space and seating in the living/dining area for the family to visit, eat and
play games comfortably; couches, chairs and beds were comfortable; plenty of
cookware and eating and serving items; good fireplace; great spa and pool
room; enough bathrooms for the amount of bedroom space and we did not run
out of hot water! Easy drive to dining, skiing, entertainment and shopping.
Owner's instructions for services and "how to operate" items at the property
were clear, concise and very helpful. All in all, we recommend this "chalet"
as a perfect holiday or other vacation rental. Recommended for: families with young children, families with
teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight seeing, romantic getaway

This well appointed home is ten minutes to Northstar Ski Resort,
within 20 minutes to Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley, and Mt. Rose.
Besides the close proximity to skiing, the house is 2.5 miles to the
sandy beaches at Kings Beach on Lake Tahoe. Voted the best beach on
the Lake, Kings Beach is a state park with lifeguards, jet ski,
paddle boat and kayak rentals, and is walking distance to a
multitude of shops, restaurants and bars. Nightlife is 1 mile away
from here with casinos, live music, and concerts.
Located in a quiet pocket of homes, you can hike, bike, or cross
country ski right out the back door. All the roads dead end at trail
heads and there are tons of hiking and biking trials. You can walk
to the Lake or even Tahoe City from here. Super quiet neighborhood
and all the houses sit on a meadow.
With five bedrooms +loft, three baths this home is ideal for a
large
family or group of friends. As you walk in the front door, you'll be
greeted with 22 foot floor to ceiling windows that lookout to a
tree-lined wrap-around deck. Big beams expand across the ceiling and
the effect is dramatic. Two sliding glass doors exit out to the deck
with a BBQ, patio furniture, and privacy with wrap around seating
and hot tub. The hot tub sits on the side deck and you can watch the
squirrels in the meadow while you soak in the tub The large living
area is an open floor plan which opens into the kitchen, and dining
area. Two overstuffed couches with scattered ottomans face a large
brick fireplace, and 40" TV. This is the "Great Room" and lives up
to its name. Its fun to sit on the couch or at the dining room table
and watch it snow. The huge windows will make you feel like you're
outside, and its fun to socialize with your group while cooking,
eating, or watching TV .Adjacent to the living room in the kitchen
and dining area with a 12 top table that is great for entertaining
at. The kitchen has lots of counter space and is well stocked for
any type of meal.
bath. This room is
large with lots of closets and dressers. Down the hall has a queen
bed with Swiss decor, and the last room has a queen bed . All the
rooms have large windows that look out to the forest land. A full
bathroom and laundry facilities are also on this floor.
Upstairs is another Master bedroom with King bed, and twin bed This
also has a "redwood" paneled private bath with a two person
whirlpool jetted bathtub. The tub is perfect to get away from your
group for a moment. The Master is off a loft which has a pool table,
queen size hide-a-bed, and single bed, with a TV/VCR. Another queen
bedroom is off the
loft area.
throughout.
All the bedding is "Hotel Style" with 300 count sheets, duvet, bed
cover, extra pillows and bed throw. The furnishings are Broyhill.
Large wooden beams, triangle shaped windows, and Chalet decor
compliment the "Tahoe" feeling. The location and amenities of this
home makes this a great vacation home year-round.

The location is perfect. It has a meadow in the back yard which our kids
snow played on. The neighborhood is very quiet and we could take walks on
the street with few if no cars passing us by. When we wanted to go out, the
restaurants and shops are just down the street from the house. It was nice
to have that peace of Tahoe at the home, and be close enough to everything
without being in the middle of it.
Sandy, the owner was very accommodating and made our rental experience
hassle free. She was available before and during our stay, and then called
when we returned home to inquire on how out stay was, which I thought was an
added touch. We will refer our friends to her homes and will definitely be
back. ![]()
