PROPERTY DETAILS:

dining table to seat 10 This 6 bedroom, 3 bath Mountain home, sits on a beautiful meadow surrounded by pine trees. The back door exists out to the hiking trails that could start a great day of exploring. Just 2 miles from the Lake, 4 miles to Northstar, and within 20 minutes to Alpine Meadows, and Squaw Valley. Golf? yes. 2 miles to the Brockway Golf Course, and minutes to 5 other courses. If skiing is a pastime, shops, restaurants, snow mobiling, kayak and bike rentals, and nightlife at the casinos are by the Lake and within 3 miles to the house. The casinos on the North Shore are known for their music venues and spa services.  This house has the space for a large family gathering, or group of friends. As you walk in the front door, you are greeted with a massive river rock fireplace, high A frame ceilings, pool table, windows looking out to the meadow, and open floor plan. Knotty pine paneling and stain glass accents surrounds the "Great Room." A large sectional and scattered ottomans faces the fireplace and entertainment center with LCD TV, stereo, and DVD player. A slider opens out to the top wrap-around deck with patio furniture and barbeque. Its great to sit out here and breath in the trees. There is a front deck, wrap around back deck, and forest deck hosting the hot tub.

Nicknamed the "TreeHaus," your view is of the towering pine trees and seasonal creek. The house sits on a meadow with endless hiking trails, on a gentle slope for sledding in the wintertime. A path from the house leads to North National Park which has ball fields, a Frisbee golf course, picnic areas, and hiking and biking trails. In the wintertime, bring your cross country ski's or snow shoes. The trails from the house are well used in both the summer and winter months.
The open living area has a pool table and a large dining room table, both facing the fireplace and kitchen. A well appointed kitchen with wrap-around counters, Jenn Aire stove and breakfast bar that seats 5, allows for all to watch the chef cook.

High A frame ceiling with stained glass windows Down the hall are stairs leading to a combination bedroom and entertainment room. This is a great spot for the kids, or large bedroom for a couple. There is a queen bed, bathroom, TV, stereo, and dart board. A door exits out to the bottom deck with hot tub, and access to hiking trails. The hot tub is on its own deck and looks outs onto the meadow and creek. This is the place to relax and enjoy the wildlife, and sounds of a forest.

On the main level, is a large Master bedroom with King bed, twin bed, walk in closet, and TV/DVD. The bedrooms have "Hotel Style" bedding with duvet, bed cover, bed throw and extra pillows which contributes to a good nights sleep. A slider exists out to a semi private deck overlooking the meadow. The bedroom is also connected to a full bathroom with double sinks. You have access to the bathroom from the hallway or Master Bedroom.
Large Kings Master bedroom with bathroom,

Up the stairs are 4 more bedrooms, and another full bathroom. To the left of the hallway is an enclosed private loft queen bedroom that has a skylight for star gazing, and single child's bed. Down the hall is a spacious bedroom with a King and twin bed. There is extra floor space here for the little ones. Next to that room is a bunk room with full size bottom and single top that adjoins to another large enclosed private loft bedroom with queen bed, and 2 twins.
Want to bring your boat and need parking? No problem. There is a garage for your "stuff" and lots of parking in the summertime.

Located on a cul de sac, you'll see more people walking their dogs, than cars passing by.
Quiet, peaceful, comfortable, and special is the tone of this home. The decor is mountain lodge, which compliments the Tahoe feeling, and amenities and location should amplify your vacation stay.

Lots of amenities. Plenty of room for our families and thier kids. We LOVED the fireplace, and being able to have a hiking trail in the back yard. Nice. quiet neighborhood on cul de sac. I think we found our yearly ski house!

Sandy is easy to deal with in every way. This mountain home is attractive and very tidy upon our arrival. Beds are all very comfortable and the many bathrooms was a real convenience. All appliances are higher end and near-new. Diamond Peak and Northstar at Tahoe are almost in the back yard. Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley are easy drives. The Jewel of the Sierra, Lake Tahoe is just down the street from this home! This house handled 15 of us comfortably. Kitchen is well-equipped for our large group. The fireplace was the biggest hit as all our socializing was centered here. The pool table and jacuzzi was of course a big huge hit with kids! We will certainly return!

My family decided to take advantage of a winter storm, and come to Lake Tahoe spur of the moment for a few days of skiing. We found this property that fit our needs ( 14 of us including children). We ahd anever rented a home before, and was a little aprehensive on what to expect. The owner was available to address our concerns before and during our stay. She even called us at the home to see if we had any questions. The home is as described on the website, and was much better when we arrived than the pictures show. It is beautifully decorated, and had enough room for all of us. The stone fireplace was a hit...we played pool, watched TV, cooked, dined and basically we all able to do our thing in the GREAT ROOM. We even BBQ'd in the back deck which looks out into a wonderful meadow full of tall pine trees. The hot tub is on a separate deck which is in the "forest" which was nice to have it separate. It was fun to hear and watch the snow fall while sitting in the hot tub, and even though we were in the forest, the house has sunny decks when the sun was out. Northstar was the closest skiing, but Alpine Meadows, and Squaw Valley were easy and quick to get to. The lake is just down the street with lots of shops and restaurants, and the casinos which we confirmed cost us too much money to spend much time at. It was nice to be close to all this, but we really enjoyed going back to the home, knowing it was quiet and almost seamed secluded. We rarely saw a car drive by. I would highly recommend this home, and hopefully, we can try it out during the summer. They were lots of trails around the house that we saw cross country skiers use, which would be fun to explore without snow on the ground. It was a great time, great experience, and coulnd't have found a better home or location to stay in.

It has been awhile but we wanted to share our thoughts with you on your home in Lake Tahoe. While the trip was not without problems you and the house we stayed in made things very enjoyable. As you can imagine traveling from all parts of the country and ending up with 7 children under the age of 6 can be a challenge. Thanks for arranging all of the cribs etc that we requested. The kids were looking forward to petting a bear but they did not show, maybe next time, as we will be booking with you again. Try to arrange for this if you can. The deposit was early, thanks. I am sure you get these all the time but this was a special trip for our family and friends. Thanks for making it into our family scrap book. Great pictures!! Best Regards, Paul, Sarah and family

We really liked this chalet. Everything about the location and setting was perfect. We enjoyed the mountain backdrop, the fact that is in a quiet neighborhood with a great forest meadow behind the home. The part about our stay besides the open floor plan and comfortable furnishings of the chalet was the privacy. We didn't hear a single person our entire stay. The house is on a cul-de-sac and has trees and meadows in front and behind it. It was fun to go out the back door into the open forest area. What also was fun is all the different areas of this home. We had a lot of kids with us and they played well in all the rooms. There was plenty of sleeping arrangements and a wonderful Great Room with large stone fireplace which we spent lots of time around. We'll definitely be going back to this cabin.

I took my family of 12 to Lake Tahoe for a short but wonderful weekend. We had never rented a home before and was happily surprised at how great it was. The home is beautiful and we felt right at home. It was right up from the lake and in the middle of a ton of hiking trails. We walked down to North National Park and played frisbee golf! That was a first for me.
We plan on doing this yearly and will plan on coming back to this home.
